Anna Gonzalez Suero works with autoethnographic writing and research tools in an interdisciplinary way to expand on feminist theories of gendered bodies. For her PhD thesis in Art, which was completed in 2022 at Goldsmiths, University of London, she worked with the autoethnographic method of connecting the personal to the cultural in order to explore the aesthetic dimensions of medico-technical images appearing on screens and as models, with a focus on the visual and material cultures of gynecology and obstetrics. Gonzalez Suero works on challenging fundamental ideas around images with medical origins.
